The Blue Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans), also known as the Green Neon Tetra, is a small schooling fish known for the brilliant blue-green stripe that runs nearly the entire length of its body. Compared with the more familiar Neon Tetra, Blue Neons are smaller, more streamlined, and have a cleaner metallic coloration that can look incredible in a planted aquarium.
Their size makes them especially impressive in larger groups. Rather than relying on a single fish for color, a school creates a shifting band of blue across the aquarium as they move together through plants and open water.

Blue Neon Tetras appreciate a mature, stable aquarium with plenty of plant cover and some open swimming space. Darker substrates and backgrounds can make their metallic coloration especially noticeable.
Because of their small size, foods should be appropriately sized. Quality micro pellets, finely crushed flakes, and small frozen or live foods all work well.
They should be kept with peaceful tankmates that aren't large enough to view them as food. While a small group can be maintained, their behavior and visual impact are much better in a substantial school.

Blue Neon Tetras are a step away from the ordinary community tetra. Their smaller size and intense blue-green coloration make them a variety we specifically seek out when good specimens are available.
We look for well-conditioned fish with full bodies, clean fins, strong metallic coloration, and active schooling behavior. When we find a group worth bringing in, they earn a place in our reserves.

The Pineapple Swordtail (Xiphophorus hellerii) is a colorful livebearer known for its warm yellow-to-orange body, red accents, and the distinctive extended lower tail fin found on mature males. Their combination of size, color, and constant activity makes them an excellent choice when you want a fish that stands out without being difficult to keep.
Pineapple Swordtails are active swimmers and appreciate an aquarium with plenty of open space alongside planted areas for cover. They're generally peaceful and work well in appropriately sized community aquariums with other active, non-aggressive fish.

Swordtails do best with a varied diet of quality prepared foods along with plant-based foods and occasional frozen or live foods. They generally prefer moderately hard, mineral-rich water and should have enough open swimming room to accommodate their active nature.
Like other livebearers, Pineapple Swordtails reproduce readily when males and females are kept together. Multiple males can also compete with one another, so adequate space, plant cover, and an appropriate male-to-female ratio are important when maintaining a group.

Pineapple Swordtails aren't difficult to find, but the quality can vary considerably. We look for healthy, well-built fish with strong coloration, clean fins, and attractive markings. Mature males are especially impressive when their coloration and signature sword develop properly.
We'd rather offer a smaller group of Swordtails we're happy with than fill the tank with average ones.

The Kuhli Loach (Pangio kuhlii) is a peaceful, eel-shaped bottom dweller with one of the most unusual appearances and personalities of any commonly available freshwater fish. Their slender bodies, dark banding, and secretive behavior make them especially fun additions to planted and natural-style aquariums.
Kuhli Loaches spend much of their time weaving through plants, exploring beneath driftwood, and searching the substrate for food. They can be shy when kept alone, but groups become noticeably more confident and active once they're comfortable in the aquarium.

A soft substrate is ideal for Kuhli Loaches because they spend so much time along the bottom and may burrow into it. Provide plenty of plants, caves, driftwood, leaf litter, or other shaded areas where the group can retreat.
Kuhlis are scavengers, but they shouldn't be expected to survive on leftovers alone. Sinking pellets, wafers, frozen foods, and other appropriately sized foods should regularly reach the bottom of the aquarium.

Kuhli Loaches are already one of the more distinctive fish you can add to a community aquarium. We focus on offering healthy, well-conditioned individuals with good body weight and active behavior, especially important with a species that can be difficult to evaluate when stressed or newly imported.

The Dalmatian Molly (Poecilia sphenops) is a hardy, active livebearer recognized for its distinctive black-and-white spotted pattern. No two are patterned exactly alike, giving even this familiar aquarium species plenty of individual character.
Dalmatian Mollies are social, energetic fish that spend most of their time cruising the middle and upper portions of the aquarium. They work especially well in planted community tanks and are a great choice for aquarists looking for an active fish with strong contrast and personality.

Like other mollies, they are livebearers and can reproduce readily. When keeping males and females together, providing plenty of plant cover gives females and fry places to retreat.

Dalmatian Mollies are easy to find. Good Dalmatian Mollies are worth being selective about. We look for healthy, active fish with strong body condition, clean fins, and attractive patterning rather than stocking them simply because they're available.

The Clown Pleco (Panaqolus maccus) is a compact freshwater pleco with bold orange and dark banding, a peaceful temperament, and plenty of personality. Staying around 3–4 inches, it's an excellent choice for aquarists who want the look and behavior of a pleco without the size of many larger species.
Clown Plecos are most at home in planted or natural-style aquariums with driftwood, caves, and plenty of cover. They're primarily active in the evening and at night, spending much of the day tucked into a favorite hiding place before coming out to explore and feed.

Driftwood is especially important for Clown Plecos and should be considered part of their habitat rather than just decoration. A varied diet can include quality sinking foods, algae wafers, vegetables, and occasional protein-rich foods.
They're generally peaceful with other fish, though multiple plecos should have enough caves, driftwood, and territory to establish their own spaces.

Clown Plecos may not be the rarest fish in our reserves, but that doesn't mean we'll stock just any of them. We look for healthy, well-conditioned fish with strong patterning and good overall appearance. Every Clown Pleco is cared for in our own systems before being offered for sale.

Assorted Fancy Guppies (Poecilia reticulata) bring a mix of color, pattern, and fin shape to the aquarium. Because every assortment is different, you can find everything from bold solid colors and metallic bodies to patterned tails and flowing fins.
Guppies are active, social livebearers that spend most of their time in the middle and upper portions of the aquarium. Their manageable size, outgoing behavior, and wide variety of appearances make them a great fit for planted tanks and peaceful community aquariums.

Fancy Guppies are one of the most common fish in the hobby, so we're particularly selective about the ones we offer. We look for healthy, active fish with strong coloration, attractive finnage, and good overall condition. Our assorted selection changes depending on which fish meet that standard.

The Red Wag Platy (Xiphophorus maculatus) is a bright, active livebearer known for its vivid red body contrasted by dark black fins. It's a classic aquarium fish, but a well-colored Red Wag can still be one of the most eye-catching fish in a planted community tank.
Red Wags are hardy, social, and constantly active throughout the middle and upper portions of the aquarium. Their manageable size and peaceful nature make them an excellent choice for community setups, while their strong red coloration stands out especially well against green plants and darker backgrounds.
